Modern casting · marked COPY
Qing coin reproductions, set of five
$48
Five modern castings of Qing dynasty copper-alloy coins, strung on a red cord. They are reproductions, not antiques, and each one is stamped COPY on the reverse — a legal requirement in the United States for any imitation numismatic item, and the reason these carry a mark that the originals never had.
- Material
- Cast copper alloy, artificially patinated
- Quantity
- 5 coins on a red cord
- Marking
- Stamped COPY on the reverse (US Hobby Protection Act, 15 U.S.C. §2101)

Ships from Hangzhou in 2–5 business days. Delivery is typically 7–15 business days to the US and 8–16 to the EU, UK, Australia and New Zealand, customs permitting. Import duties and taxes are charged by your country's customs, not by us, and are payable on delivery. The United States ended its $800 duty-free exemption on 29 August 2025, so US orders now attract duty at every value. The EU introduces a flat €3 duty per item on goods below €150 from 1 July 2026. Where it comes from
The coins are real designs: a round coin with a square hole, cast in copper alloy, in circulation from the seventeenth century into the twentieth. The square hole is not decorative — coins were strung on cord in hundreds, which is how you carried money before pockets were common. Anything sold today as an original Qing coin at this price is either damaged beyond collecting or not what it claims to be.
