Juglans nigra, turned disc
Incense holder, black walnut
$44
A turned disc with a single central bore, sized so a stick stands upright at a slight angle and the ash falls onto the disc rather than beside it. No brass insert: the bore is drilled into end-grain walnut and is snug enough to grip the stick, and it can be re-drilled if it ever loosens.

Ships from Hangzhou in 2–5 business days. Delivery is typically 7–15 business days to the US and 8–16 to the EU, UK, Australia and New Zealand, customs permitting. Import duties and taxes are charged by your country's customs, not by us, and are payable on delivery. The United States ended its $800 duty-free exemption on 29 August 2025, so US orders now attract duty at every value. The EU introduces a flat €3 duty per item on goods below €150 from 1 July 2026. Where it comes from
Eastern black walnut is dense and dark-hearted, and it turns cleanly enough that a thin disc will not tear out at the rim — softer woods fuzz at the edge and need sanding, which rounds over exactly the edge you want crisp. A turned object is cut on a lathe while spinning, so it is a surface of revolution by construction; the asymmetry you see in a hand-thrown pot cannot happen here.
